Mutatok néhány dolgot amit a legjobban élveztem :)
Mindennap friss gyümölcsök és zöldségek, halak, sajtok és egyéb különlegességek várják a turistákat. A reggeleket mindig a helyi piacon kezdtem, a La Boquerian. Tulajdonképpen ez a hely mára már turista látványosságá nőtte ki magát és azt mondják, helyiek nem is járnak ide. De ettől függetlenül vagy éppen pont ezért, minőségi és friss árut kínálnak ,na és a tálalás...
We all do have those special places, where we had the best time of our lives and wish to go back ... for me, this place is the capital of Catalunya, Barcelona. The first time, I visited BCN was 2 years ago. Back then, I haven’t even expected that I am able to fall in love with a place this much. Since then, every time travelling comes into my mind, first thing I check: Flights to Barcelona. If someone asks me why, I immediately know the answer: there is nothing you can’t find there: culture, history, beach, mountains, parties, fashion, culinary experiences and the most important, happy people. Last time I got the luck to spend an entire month in my beloved Barcelona. I am going to show you some things I enjoyed the most.
What could be more important at a vacation that experiencing the local tastes? (Especially for me, whose priority is always on food) I was blessed from this point of view as well...I started every morning at my favourite market close to La Rambla, at La Boqueria. The market is so popular amongst tourists that no local goes there... but who cares? Everything tastes good, so the quality did not decrease at all, rather increased and the way they look...
Obviously, there are thousands of restaurants with all kind of traditional Spanish dishes, but my all time favourite is paella. Traditionally, it is cooked with chicken and rabbit meat, but my favourite is the tourist version: paella con mariscos.
Unfortunately – Fortunately, it is not always possible to eat out at a divine place, but no worries at all ... I have got millions ideas and ingredients for fenomenal salads, love them!
And of course, those tapas nights... when in Spain, you have to try it! It is so traditional that you don’t even realise you are part of an experience. There are so many types of tapas ... pimientos, seafood, mini burgers, exotic salads, cheese, ham ... But the best is when you meet up with friends for a little tapas and wine. Everybody brings their own small bites and then share everything!
Besides all the culinary experiences, it is essential to mention that the city is so beautiful, I cannot get enough of it.. no matter from which point of view we are looking at it, either it is from the mountains of Montjuic of Tibidabo, or we are just chilling at the beach of Barceloneta or Port Vell.
However, there is one exact spot... „THE” spot, where you can see the city 360 degree. I don’t even have to say that it's my favourite spot and that’s where I fall in love with BCN...Bunkers Del Carmel! During my stay, I visited this place a lot of times, and everytime I have been there I was just standing and wondering how lucky I am to see this and fill my heart with happiness. Okay, of course, I was never alone... I took my visitors and some wine and just enjoyed the sundown.
Hope now everybody is considering to pay a visit to my lovely Barcelona! Of course, there are tons of more things to see and do, but these were the most memorable for me: food and feelings.
